Congratulations to Susan Stearns

Named 2015 Realtor® Good Neighbor Award Winner for Bringing Positive Change to New Horizons and the Community.

Over the last 16 years, the Good Neighbor Awards have recognized Realtors® from across the nation who dedicates countless volunteer hours to improve the lives of their neighbors and serve as leaders in their communities. This year Susan Stearns has the honor of being named among the five REALTOR® Magazine Good Neighbor Award winners who embody incredible commitment to helping those around them and serve as an example of how Realtors build and strengthen communities.

Ms. Stearns receives recognition due to the fact that for 30 years she has volunteered with New Horizons. She served on the board for 10 years, and founded several fundraising events that have raised more than $2.5 million. As ambassador and advocate for our agency, she has recruited many volunteers, board members and donors. The list of 2015 Good Neighbor Award winners from which Susan Stearns is named includes Daniel L. Goodwin, The Inland Real Estate Group Inc., Oak Brook, Illinois., Nancy E. Hines, F.C. Tucker Co. Inc., Avon, Indiana, John Kersten, Century 21 Town & Country, Utica, Michigan, and Barbara Mills, RE/MAX Realty One, Inverness, Florida.

Susan will receive a $10,000 grant for New Horizons and will be featured in the November/December issue of REALTOR® Magazine. She will also be presented with crystal trophy on Saturday, Nov. 14, during the 2015 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego.
