Green Light to Mobility

Travel Training

Ask me how to ride!

New Horizons’ Green Light to Mobility program is funded by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO).  The program empowers individuals to safely access their communities by encouraging further independence, confidence, and mobility through METRO transit education throughout the San Fernando Valley and the City of Santa Clarita.

Upcoming Workshops and Events

Free Travel Training Workshop
Thursday, March 30, 2017
Platt Branch Library
23600 Victory Blvd
Woodland Hills California 91367

Presented by Joanne D’Antonio of New Horizons’ Greenlight to Mobility program and LADOT, this workshop is designed to teach seniors (but all ages are welcome) about TAP cards, using the City’s transit system (including rail and buses), and how to get schedules and routes to save time. Also, TAP cards can be loaded at the workshops. It is easy and fun and 62+ attendees can actually obtain a TAP card at the workshop (photo identification is required; interested parties should be prepared to have their photo taken). Informational handouts will be available at the workshop, as well.
