A New Year Message from Interim CEO, Roschell Ashley
Dear Family and Friends,
I want to take a moment during these first few days of 2017 to express how truly excited I am for New Horizons and our clients as we enter into a brand new year!
As we set our sights on all the possibilities which promise to provide even greater independence and inclusion for the over 1600 individuals we support each year, we celebrate the fact that our programs and services are stronger than ever. Whether on our North Hills campus or at different locations within the community, our ability to bring living, working, and learning opportunities to those with special needs is what New Horizons’ mission is all about. We look forward to continuing to work with our clients in this way. We also look forward to continuing to partner with you through your generous donations and support of our annual events.
We are happy to bring back (by popular demand) our Annual Golf Classic on February 27, 2017 at MountainGate Country Club. It is a wonderful new venue for us, to which we’re very happy to have Julie Kavner as our Presenting Sponsor once again! On May 21, 2017 we hope you plan on joining us at our 14th Annual Gala Celebration. This year it will be a Sunday Brunch taking place at beautiful Vibiana, a historic landmark located in downtown Los Angeles. And our annual Walk on the Horizon walk-a-thon is scheduled for October with a date and location soon to be named.
Throughout the year I personally want to invite you to be a part of all that we do. Whether it’s taking a tour of our campus — particularly if you haven’t done so in a while, holding an event in Sam’s Cafe, or purchasing our delicious New Horizons Cookies online or at a Pavilions Store in West Hills or Burbank, we want to be an important part of your year, as important as the clients we support with special needs are to us.
All the best,
Roschell Ashley
