New Horizons’ Green Light to Mobility program is funded by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO).  The program empowers individuals to safely access their communities by encouraging further independence, confidence, and mobility through METRO transit education throughout the Southeastern and Eastern San Fernando Valley.

Free ADVANCED Travel Training Workshop

Take your use of local public transportation to the next level!

One Generation Senior Enrichment Center – Activity Room
18255 Victory Blvd. (at Etiwanda) Reseda, CA
Tuesday January 28, 2020  9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Open to the public – no reservation required.

Bring your smart phone or computer and learn to ride more efficiently. Bring ID and passwords to download apps. WIFI provided.

Maps and handouts on using public transportation provided.

To apply for a reduced fare TAP card:

  • Please bring your photo ID and we will take your photo and application.
  • Eligibility: anyone age 62+
  • Eligibility: disabled (bring SSI award letter or DMV placard paper)

We can do LIFE (Low Income Fare is Easy) enrollment at this workshop.
(must have tap card and proof of low income—Medi-Cal or tax return)

Presented by Joanne D’Antonio of New Horizons’ Green Light to Mobility program, this workshop is designed to teach how to use reduced fare TAP cards and learn to ride the City’s public transportation system (including rail and buses).

Maps and handouts on using public transportation provided.
