Farewell BBQ for Cynthia Sewell

With New Horizons President and CEO Cynthia Sewell retiring on December 31, 2016, and then assuming a consult role throughout 2017, our Residential Services program wanted to take the time to wish her well with a very well attended BBQ on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Cynthia began her work at New Horizons more than 28 years ago in Residential.  Here’s what she has to say about the wonderful tribute:

Thank you so much for a wonderful residential family goodbye party,   I will treasure all of these wonderful cards, the clever gifts (in the “Just Joking” booklet I see where you get many of your jokes from) and the lovely crystal thank you star from the residents. 

It feels awkward to be at such a party, because in my heart I will never leave New Horizons and all of you.

In the meanwhile, thank you so much again for introducing me to the residential families way back in June, 1988 and for sending me off with the families today. 

You are really the best.
