A Message from JOHN C. BRAUER, M.A. President and CEO – Oct 2022
Welcome Fall… Welcome sweater weather!
Greetings Family and Friends!
As they say in the South, it’s fall, ya’ll! With the advent of Fall and the changing of the season, I can’t think of a better time to be thankful as we head into the coming months filled with Thanksgiving and festive holiday celebrations. These days we’re surrounded by Halloween decorations that have been strategically placed throughout our campus by our creative Members, staff and volunteers. Our Community Learning Center is all a buzz with arts and crafts that speak of pumpkins, scary characters (besides me) and all things black and orange.
In addition to our nod to the holidays, this month we also recognize Hispanic Heritage along with National Disabilities Employment Awareness (NDEAM), both representing the diversity and commitment found at New Horizons. Its these traits which sets us apart as we build bright, bold futures for those that we serve.
We continue to steadily increase the number of Members returning to in-person services, and have a staff that is anxious to receive them. And speaking of staff, we’re in the process of hiring dedicated professionals, with heart and enthusiasm, as we expand our services. Like most businesses, we have a significant need to hire more people, so if you know of someone (or if you’re interested!), we’d love to hear from you. This is not just a job, but a passion, and we’re looking for all-stars to join our ranks!
Here at New Horizons, we will continue to be the change agents for those that we serve, helping them to be anything they dream they can be; and not just in October, but every day.
Thank you for sharing “the” vision with us — brighter futures, pumpkins and all.
Cheers!
John C. Brauer, President & CEO
