Face Masks
New Horizons Needs Face Masks.
Here’s how you can help!
With so many of you asking what you can do to support New Horizons and the clients we serve during LA’s “Safer at Home” directive, we would like to provide you with an opportunity to help ensure that our clients and our font line staff stay safe.
If have a talent for sewing or a “can do” spirit when it comes to helping New Horizons, especially at times like these, Kaiser Permanente has provided instructions on how to make protective face masks.
Face masks made by you can be dropped off at New Horizons during regular business hours at 15725 Parthenia Street, North Hills, CA 91343; where we hope when you do come by, you too, will be wearing a face mask. You can also choose to mail the items to us.
Steps to keep the face masks you make sanitary and ready for use:
- Wash and dry the material before and after you make the mask(s).
- Use gloves throughout the sewing process and while you are ironing/steaming the pleats.
- With your gloves still on, place each mask you make in its own Ziplock bag — this will let us know they are sanitized.
- Drop the sealed bags off at New Horizons (see above)!
Thank you in advance for your help — we are truly all in this together.
Gratefully yours,
New Horizons Staff and Clients
